my name is Sitora, and thank you, from the heart, for looking around our shop — and for wanting to choose something for yourself or someone close to you.
I’ve lived in Poland with my family for a few years now. As a Tajik woman, I fell for Polish culture, its people and the remarkable energy of Polish women from the start. And yet for a long time I felt something of mine was missing here — something that reminds me of my roots, my home and the colours of my childhood.
I saw how much Polish women love colourful clothes, and how hard it can be to find something truly special, full of life and character. I thought I could bring a piece of Tajikistan here: its colour, its soul, its tradition and its craft.
I carried that idea through all eight years in Warsaw, but everyday life — home, two children, obligations — kept pushing the dream to “later.”
This year, together with my husband, we finally took the step. This isn’t just a shop. It’s a dream come true, and my small way of sharing the most beautiful part of Tajik culture.
Our selection is still small, because we’re only starting. But when you buy from us, you support not only us — also the Tajik makers and craftswomen who let us, in time, bring more of these special things.
Our greatest dream is to show Tajik art and culture in Poland, to bring people together through beauty and craft, and to support the makers who put their heart, history and soul into their work.
